It's been years since I whitewater rafted in Colorado, and i've always wanted to raft Brown's Canyon.  Brown's is located just outside Buena Vista, CO about 2.5 hours from Denver.  I went with American Adventure Expeditions who operate in Buena Vista & Canyon City.

Post #99: Tomer's Trails: Long's Peak Climb for Alzheimer's

I wanted to do this story for a long time. I've known Alan Arnette for years and admired his dedication to raising awareness and to finding a cure for Alzheimer's. Alan has dedicated his life to this end after losing his mother to Alzheimer's. I was joined by Jon Kedrowski and Ryan Kushner for this climb up to where it all started for Alan Arnette 20 years ago -- on Long's Peak.

Post #98: Tomer's Trails: The Citadel

   I've been climbing the Citadel for years but only recently had the chance to ski it from the West Summit.  The Citadel has two summits, a West and East Summit with the West being slightly higher at 13,294ft.  The Citadel is still not listed on most maps.
   Had a chance to climb and ski it with great friend Jon Kedrowski.  Here's the video:

Post #97: Tomer's Trails: Capitol Peak

    Not every climb or ski goes as planned.  In our case, we were forced to adjust our sails on Capitol Peak.  Jon Kedrowski and I skied into the West Snowmass basin to meet up with Alan Arnette and Ryan Kushner.  As we approached our camping spot it was like someone flipped a switch and the wind started to roar.  The wind was so strong it covered their tracks and we were forced back into the trees to setup camp.  The next morning we set out for K2 and the summit of Capitol Peak.

Post #96: Tomer's Trails: Little Bear Peak

     It has become a March tradition to climb Little Bear Peak in the Sangre De Cristos.  We like doing the peak as a snow climb to avoid rockfall.  To me, the climb is about spending time with friends on a spectacular peak.
