Wind & wave clouds greeted Dr. Jon and me as we climbed Long's exciting northeast face. It was a long 10-hour day roundtrip. The wind so strong all day it sounded like a jet engine forcing us to yell at each other just to be heard.
Tip #1,074: High winds are an almost constant fixture of the Front Range peaks. When you see mountain wave clouds you should expect high winds.
